Jewelry Care
General
It is best to always remove your jewelry (including hair accessories) when washing your hands, showering, or swimming. Many chemicals can react in unpredictable ways. The same applies to perfume and hair care products: spray first, then put on your jewelry. This will keep everything looking beautiful for longer.
Brass & Copper
The great thing about these metals is that they develop a beautiful patina over time. However, when they come into contact with salty air or water, greenish spots can form.
If you want to restore the original shine, you can easily mix up a cleaning paste: a little citric acid (found in the baking section), a few drops of dish soap, and water. Apply the paste, leave it on for about a minute, brush the jewelry, rinse it thoroughly, and repeat the whole process if the oxidation is more stubborn.
Even easier: use a Sunshine cloth (like the ones used to clean glasses) – it works super fast and is super easy.
Enamel
Our enamel pieces are created by melting a thin layer of glass onto metal. As with most glass products, the surface is delicate, but it will last for many years if you care for it properly.
Avoid hard knocks, strong pressure, and do not bend the pieces. Do not immerse them in water or cleaning agents. To clean them, simply wipe them with a soft cloth.
